1. Scope of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website at meshhold.com and the community forum hosted on it (collectively, "the Service"), operated by Iurii Iakovlev. By registering an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms.

Use of the MeshHold software itself (the desktop, server, and mobile applications) is governed separately by the Apache License 2.0 — these Terms cover only the website and forum.

2. Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address. We only use it to verify the account, send password resets, and (optionally) notify you of replies.
  • Choose a username appropriate for a technical forum. Impersonation of others is not permitted.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We never ask for it via email or chat.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to register. The Service is not directed at children.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts to evade bans or moderation are grounds for removal.

3. Acceptable use

While using the Service, you agree NOT to:

  • Post unlawful content, including content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
  • Post spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional content.
  • Post malware, exploit code intended for live targets, or doxxing of private individuals.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to break the Service or related infrastructure.
  • Automate scraping or mass-fetching beyond reasonable personal use.
  • Bypass moderation actions (bans, deletions, locks).

Security research is welcome — see the security contact in the Imprint for responsible-disclosure terms.

4. Content you post

You retain ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and reproduce your content for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence terminates when you delete your content, except for cached or archived copies which we will purge in the normal course of operations.

Your posts may be quoted by other users (the forum supports reply-with-quote). Other users' replies that quote you may persist after you delete your own copy — we treat the quoted excerpt as their content from that point.

Open-source contributions (patches, code snippets, configuration) posted to the forum are, unless you say otherwise, dual-licensed under the same terms as the MeshHold software (Apache License 2.0). This lets us incorporate community fixes back into the codebase.

5. Moderation and enforcement

We may, at our discretion:

  • Edit, hide, or delete content that violates these terms or applicable law.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms repeatedly or egregiously.
  • Adjust a user's trust level based on their participation history.
  • Cooperate with lawful requests from authorities under applicable jurisdiction.

To report a violation or appeal a moderation action, email info@meshhold.com. We aim to respond within five business days.

6. The MeshHold software

The MeshHold software (the apps you download from the Downloads page) is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You can use it commercially, modify it, and redistribute it under the terms of that licence. The licence text is shipped with every release and available in the public source repository.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to the MeshHold trademark, brand, or logos beyond fair use to refer to the software.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided AS-IS, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim — for a free service this amount is zero.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., gross negligence, wilful misconduct, statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction).

9. Termination

You can terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your account from the Delete your account page. Deletion takes effect immediately as a soft-delete; data is hard-deleted after 30 days (see the Privacy Policy for details).

We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially violate these terms. Where possible we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy.

10. Changes

The current Terms version is 2026-05-24. When we change anything material, we bump the version, update the effective date, and ask you to acknowledge on your next login. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms; if you do not accept, please delete your account.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The courts of Belgrade, Serbia, have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rule that provides otherwise.
