The Community Edition you've already downloaded is the same engine. The Business tier adds what procurement actually needs to sign: multi-user identity, RBAC, audit log, OIDC / Active Directory, fleet management, and a real support contract with named contacts and a response-time SLA.

How the licensing works. The Community Edition stays Apache 2.0 β€” free for any use, including commercial deployment inside your organization. The Business tier doesn't take features away from the open core; it adds enterprise modules (OIDC/SAML, audit log, RBAC, fleet management) that procurement and compliance teams require. Open Core, in the spirit of Mattermost, GitLab, and Grafana.

Pricing is per-user-per-year or per-node-per-year β€” your choice, whichever maps cleaner to how your team is organized. No charges per gigabyte stored, per call minute, or per API request. It runs on your hardware; we're not paying egress, you are.
