Partners

You keep the whole fee.

MeshHold is not a product you resell. It is free, and the money in it is the work around it — deployment, integration, adapting it to how a particular business actually runs, and being there afterwards. That work is yours. We take nothing out of your invoice.

Where the money is

Most partner programmes exist to move licences, and the partner's margin is a discount on somebody else's price list. There is no price list here. What follows instead is a plain description of who is paid by whom.

Your customer

pays you

For the deployment, the integration, the migration, the training and the support contract. All of it, at your rates.

You

pay us — sometimes

Only for the two things you cannot do yourself: work inside the core, and a commercial licence when the customer needs one.

We

take nothing else

No cut of your invoice, no per-seat fee, no annual membership, no minimum commitment.

The commercial licence

MeshHold is AGPL-3.0 and always will be. That licence has a consequence a lot of integrators meet late and badly: if your customer runs a modified MeshHold as a network service, the modifications have to be published — including the ones you wrote specifically for them.

For a great many deployments that is fine and nobody cares. For the ones where it is not — a customer whose policy forbids AGPL, or an integration you would rather not hand to your competitors — the same code is available under a commercial licence without that obligation. Not a cut-down build and not an enterprise edition: the same source, different terms.

This is where your margin comes from. You resell the licence at a markup, and the customer gets one supplier and one invoice instead of two. It is also the honest answer to a question your customer's lawyer will ask before signing, and having no answer to it is how these deals quietly die.

What you can buy from us

Escalation
A private channel to the person who wrote the code, with a response you can quote to your own customer. Charged as a retainer. Without this we cannot promise a response time, and a promise nobody is paying for is one you should not repeat to a client.
Work inside the core
A protocol change, a missing capability, a performance problem that is ours rather than yours. Quoted per piece. What we build ships to everyone under AGPL — you are paying for it to exist and to exist now, not for exclusivity.
Commercial licences
For customers who cannot take AGPL, or who want their own modifications kept closed. Priced per deployment, not per seat. Resold by you at your markup.
Nothing else
No membership fee, no certification fee, no minimum. If we ever add one, existing partners keep the terms they joined on.

Two ways in

You deliver

You find the work, you do it, you own the customer relationship. We stand behind you on the parts only we can reach.

What you get
  • A direct line to the author of whatever just broke — paid, so it is a commitment rather than a favour.
  • Roadmap influence. Two blocking issues a year go to the front of the queue. For a pre-1.0 product this is the strongest card we hold, and one a large vendor structurally cannot play.
  • Early builds and advance warning before the protocol breaks. If you run a fleet, that is worth more than a discount.
  • Commercial licences to resell, at your markup.
  • A listing here once you have a deployment running, plus a brand kit.
What we ask
  • One live deployment. Your own internal one counts.
  • First-line support for your customers, so their users reach you and not our queue.
  • A named technical contact who has read the documentation.

We deliver

You have the customer and the relationship but not the capacity, or the work is deep in the core. You bring it, we do it, you stay the one they talk to.

What you get
  • A margin on our rate, agreed per project. You invoice the customer; we invoice you.
  • No obligation to build a practice around this before you have a reason to.
  • The same founding terms if you later switch to delivering.
Being straight about it
  • Our capacity is one person. This track works for a project at a time, not for a pipeline, and we will say no rather than take something we cannot finish.

What we cannot do yet

  • We cannot send you customers. There is no lead flow to share, because there is barely any lead flow. A programme whose main promise is deal flow would be a promise we could not keep, and you would find that out within a quarter. If that is what you are looking for, this is the wrong programme today — ask again when the partner list on this page is not empty.
  • There is no legal entity. MeshHold is a private project run by Iurii Iakovlev in Novi Sad, Serbia. We cannot sign an MSA, a DPA or an SLA as a company, cannot issue a VAT invoice, and cannot offer indemnification. That is being fixed, and the commercial licence above is part of why.
  • There are no tiers, no certification and no partner portal. Gold and silver rankings with no partners in them are theatre, and you would be able to tell.

None of this is a secret you would fail to discover on the first call. Saying it here is cheaper for both of us, and if it rules you out, it rules you out now rather than after three meetings.

Whose customer is it

Worth settling before it matters rather than after. Whoever brings a deal keeps it. If you register it, we will not sell delivery into it, we will not approach that customer directly, and if they come to us we will send them back to you.

We do still work directly with organisations who arrive here on their own — pretending otherwise would be the lie that makes the rest of this page worthless. What we will not do is compete with you on something you found.

Questions before you apply, or a deal you want to talk through? Write to us — it reaches the same person either way.
